Old friends made new . . .

WOW!  God is so amazing!

It's been a loooong 8+ years for me, for lots of reasons.  One has been a tough time finding a close friend to share with, love with, laugh with.  As women, we need these types of relationships to help us through the rough spots of life.  Of course, we always have God with us and KNOW He's there, but at times the need for physical closeness is so strong.  That shoulder to cry on, the hug to be shared - for good and bad, and the pat on the back.

Not having that connection is tough at times.  But when we have been privileged to have it, and then it's gone, it can be even tougher - because we didn't know what we were missing.  Well, I do know.  God has been with me, and has provided good friends to help me, support me, give me strength, and guide me through struggles.  They will ever be in my heart!  I cherish each one and what each has brought to me and my life.

But, that friend, the one who you just somehow connect with on so many levels, and never have to utter a word for understanding - such a rare gift.  Well, this gift is again in my life!  That special friend has been in touch.  Oh, the ache and pain of longing are filled with an ache to be near again, and share.  It's a joyful ache of reconnection!

Thank you, precious Lord, for Your gift.  You are so understanding of our human failings/weaknesses, thankfully so.  I praise You for working in both of our lives and allowing our challenges to show us more of You, for drawing us to You, and giving us the support we needed from You.  AND, Thank You for bringing her back to me!  AMEN.
